Claw

Claws are sharp appendages that grow from the feet or paws of various animals. Claws often grow throughout an organism's life and the purpose of claws tend to vary from defence against predator attacks or even to catch and kill prey with long, sharp claws.

The claws of Birds of Prey are notably known as talons.
