The Distribution of the Crested Kingfisher

The Crested Kingfisher, Megaceryle lugubris is a species of water kingfisher in the Cerylinae subfamily. Forms a group with Giant Kingfisher, M. maxima, Ringed Kingfisher, M. torquata and Belted Kingfisher, M. alcyon.[2]

It is resident of the Himalayas and foothills of North East India, Bangladesh, northern Indochina, south and east China and Japan.
