A location; a country. It is an archipelago, the two main islands of which are called, simply, North Island and South Island. Other close-by islands include Stewart Island and Great Barrier Island. New Zealand has a number of territories, including the Chatham Islands, the Cook Islands, Tokelau and Niue.
